On our tour of Sicily, this hotel stood out as the nicest one we stayed in. The rooms will Lodge and will furnished and the bathroom was very nice. Our room featured access to a very large rooftop deck. The view of the ocean and Marina was very nice. We enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast here.
Location is the best....on the beach. Do close to rows of restaurants.
Amenities: There is a big pool but you have to wear swim cap to swim here! Pool has a bar. Excellent sea and mountain view from the pool and the rooms. The room is much better than average Sicilian hotel. Unsure why a 4-star hotel when AC is not working in 9 out of 40 people in a tour. Bed is definitely comfortable. Breakfast is average with warm eggs, bacon and the rest of the common Italian breakfast for guest, non- continental!
Lots of mosquitoes near and at the hotel.

I don't know where to start. I didn't like the taxi driver he wasn’t friendly. The breakfast was boring, I was there for a week and couldn't have lasted any longer. You're lost without a car. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The staff couldn't speak good English and often didn't know what I meant. The Wi-Fi was bad. The bathing cap was extremely annoying. Clean your pool then it won't be dirty. And the worst are the rooms! You hear every sound. Every conversation. Every TV. Every "fun" from other guests. Next to the bar in a corner, the broken sun loungers were stored and in summary I can say that it is far from a four-star hotel. The hotel shows off everywhere, their assessment but I don't see it that way.
This hotel deserves a negative rating. The stench as soon as we walked in the room should have sent me running, but we are stuck here for a night with a tour group. Severe black mold problem in the bathroom. I don’t think anyone has even attempted to clean it as there is literally black fuzzy mold all over the shower. Peeling wallpaper patch up on wall connecting to bathroom shows the mold is in the walls. No clean blankets. I hope we make it through the night without getting too sick. Trafalgar should be ashamed to bring tourists here.
This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating. The public areas within the hotel do not have air conditioning. A/C in the room is intermittent. Electricity and water go on and off. The restaurant has A/C but the staff is instructed not to turn it on. Miserable eating with no air but lots of mosquitoes. Internet in few areas of the hotel. Location is fabulous and pool is beautiful but it’s full of mold, it’s no wonder they require everyone to wear a swim cap. Was an absolutely disgusting experience. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
Meant to be 4*, it's far from 4* but has a lovely pool. Hotel is dated and tired but the staff are welcoming and sheets and towels changed daily. The rooms are clean is about the best I can say about it. I won't go back and wouldn't recommend it. I just wish the owners could see the potential it has.
So this was a last minute holiday so minimal research was done on our part but;
-Hotel seems to allow smoking in rooms still, the room we were in was heavily tainted daily with cigarette smoke.
-There was no iron, board, kettle or USB facilities in the room.
- There was no sign of room service or laundry facilities.
- The hotel pool restaurant was dim, tired and didn’t look inviting so we gave it a miss.
-
- The pool staff lacked etiquette, often favouring their family/girlfriends with observance of rules and niceties.
- There seemed to be no food facilities during the day, we were offered a untoasted toastie from the pool bar but that was their limit.
- The housekeeper was fantastic, wonderfully friendly and very efficient.
- The breakfast room furniture is hanging on in there. Each day we sat at a new table, all with parts missing from the chairs making them comically unstable. Breakfast staff were excellent and very friendly and the food was always replenished, overall it always made a good start to our days.
- Reception staff seemed very helpful and polite.
- Grounds could be lovely and with a little maintenance and imagination the hotel could be 4*.
Overall the hotel is lacking finesse, it feels it has potential and is certainly in a predominant position within the bay. It does lack upscaled quality and extraordinary comfort so I would say it’s very much 2/3 stars and certainly not 4 stars.
What once was.... the place still looks impressive when you arrive but looking a bit deeper it's all from bygone era. The wall paper is pealing, the tiles are cracked around the pool and the amount of chlorine in it the can strip the paint off your car, electricity turning on and off during the night and breakfast is not quite up to standard. I am sure you could throw a mean wedding party there if you bring 200 guest but if just staying the night I am sure there are better options around.
